Manchester United edged out Arsenal in a dramatic FA Youth Cup tie, progressing to the semi-finals after a 3-2 win in extra time.
The young Reds took the lead in the 36th minute with a curling strike from Jack Fletcher. Arsenal responded just before half-time when Louis Copley chipped goalkeeper William Murdock to level.
After the break, Arsenal went ahead when Max Dowman won a penalty and converted it. But the drama wasn’t over: Jaydan Kamason equalised for United with about six minutes remaining in regular time, forcing extra time.
In extra time, United's substitutes combined well: Jim Thwaites delivered a cross to Samuel Lusale, and Bendito Mantato tapped in the winner. Arsenal then finished the game with ten men after Will Sweet was sent off.
