Bournemouth came to the London Stadium and spoiled what looked like a West Ham comeback by drawing 2-2. The Cherries took the lead in the 38th minute through Evanilson after a spill by goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. West Ham responded strongly in the second half: Niclas Füllkrug headed in an equaliser from a James Ward-Prowse corner in the 61st minute, and Jarrod Bowen then put the hosts ahead in the 68th minute with a header from Mohammed Kudus’s cross. However, Bournemouth weren’t done—Evanilson grabbed his second in the 79th minute with a close-range finish from a Dean Huijsen knock-down to rescue a point.
